Sean “Puffy” Combs, the hip-hop bad boy of American fashion, took his streetwise flair to the catwalk Wednesday with a new line of Sean John Loungewear.

The collection of men’s underwear, pajamas and robes made its formal debut at a fashion show staged at Bloomingdale’s, where the store’s fashion director, Kal Ruttenstein, said the line was selling well in less than two weeks on the shelves.

Buff models, all tattooed and many with shaven heads, strutted down the runway in skimpy briefs, tight boxers, sleeveless “muscle” T-shirts, thick ankle-length robes and pajama sets with baggy tops and low-slung drawstring bottoms.

Customers tend to wear “tops or bottoms, but not together,” said Ruttenstein.

Unlike typically more staid fashion shows, the models were greeted with hoots and hollers of delight from onlookers.

Combs, who makes headlines with his clothing lines, his music and his brushes with the law, greeted the cheering crowd at the end of the show with a smile and waves of his hand.

Combs’ defense attorney Ben Brafman was seated next to Combs’ mother, Janice, to watch the show.
