History Channel Solution

Share

My wife has a different approach to the History Channel (“The History Channel--A Guy Thing,” by Patricia Brennan, Aug. 20). When I am channel surfing, if she even sees grainy footage in black-and-white, she says “No” (assuming that it is some war documentary unacceptable to her taste) and pushes the channel selector button ahead to the Home & Garden Television (which I call “Broccoli TV”). Moreover, she is absolutely convinced that the “H” in the channel’s logo inadvertently also stands for “Hitler,” since, in her random sampling, there is almost always a show on the schedule featuring some historical tidbit about the evil chancellor.
