From Times Staff Reports

Police said they are seeking a man who robbed at least five people withdrawing money this week at automated teller machines in Westminster, Garden Grove and Huntington Beach.

Bank surveillance cameras taped the man during five incidents in less than 30 minutes Wednesday. One video showed the robber approaching a customer at the Bank of America at Bolsa Avenue and Magnolia Street about 8:30 p.m. The robber brandished a revolver and said, “Don’t be stupid. I’ve got a gun. Withdraw as much as you can.”

The robber then fled with $320, police said. Ten minutes later, the same man accosted a woman who had just withdrawn money from the Wells Fargo at Bolsa Avenue and Goldenwest Street, and stole her purse. At 9 p.m., the man robbed two women and a man at the Washington Mutual at Harbor and Garden Grove, taking $420.
