Results Near in Probe of Instructor’s Comments
From Times Staff Reports
Results of a 10-week investigation into allegations that an Orange Coast College instructor vilified his Muslim students in a Sept. 18 class debate are expected to be turned over to administrators next week.
A second audiotape of the discussion, given to investigators Thursday, is the reason for the delay, college officials said.
Tenured teacher Ken Hearlson, 57, is now on paid leave. The controversy over the class has drawn national attention.
