Computer Sciences Wins Contract Extension

Computer Sciences Corp. won a contract extension valued at $229million to provide computer services at student loan centers for the Department of Education.
The contract was extended until 2011, Computer Sciences said. The third-largest U.S. computer services provider will help the department offer improved services and reduce the cost of delivering aid to students seeking financial assistance.
Computer Sciences shares rose $1.05 to $50 on Wednesday on the New York Stock Exchange.
