A freight train derailed in the City of Commerce early Wednesday, delaying morning Metrolink service from Orange County.
Two commuter trains were canceled because of the 5 a.m. accident and other trains were delayed as long as an hour, according to Metrolink spokeswoman Sharon Gavin. She said some commuters were bused to Los Angeles from Norwalk.
Two tracks were restored by the afternoon commute, and Gavin said normal service would resume by evening.
