Driver Killed After Being Ejected From SUV
From Times Staff Reports
An Oxnard man died after being ejected from his sport utility vehicle during a crash early Saturday, police said.
Sergio Godinez Tamayo, 30, was pronounced dead at St. John’s Regional Medical Center shortly after the 1:45 a.m. crash in the 700 block of Commercial Avenue, police said.
Tamayo lost control of his 1995 Isuzu Rodeo and it rolled over. He was not wearing a seat belt, officials said. Two passengers sustained minor injuries. Authorities believe alcohol contributed to the crash.
