FBI Warns Users on Microsoft Software

The FBI urged users of Microsoft Corp.’s newest version of Windows software to take steps beyond those recommended by the company to prevent hackers from taking over their computers.
The bureau’s National Infrastructure Protection Center, its top computer security branch, urged users of Windows XP to disable the product’s “universal plug and play” features in addition to installing a free software fix available on Microsoft’s Web site.
