Man Sought for Grabbing Women’s Hair, Slashing It
A man in Long Beach has been grabbing women by the hair, cutting it and fleeing, police said.
Four incidents occurred in late December.
The attacker is described as white, 5-foot-10 to 6-foot-3, with a heavy build, sandy blond or light brown hair and a small mustache and goatee.
He typically approaches women when they are seated or walking along major streets, police said. He grabs them by their hair from behind, and using either a large knife or scissors, he cuts a large portion of their hair.
He runs to a light colored--possibly gray, silver or light blue--sedan and flees.
Anyone with information is asked to call Long Beach Dets. Richard Conant or Bob Erickson at (562) 570-7244.
