Share

The Jr. Philharmonic Orchestra of California is inviting young musicians, ages 12 through 25, to audition for the company’s 64th anniversary concert, which will take place May 16 at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.

Rehearsals will be held on Wednesday nights in Los Angeles.

The orchestra is especially seeking those who play violin, viola, cello, string bass, bassoon, French horn and trombone.

In another opportunity for young musicians, the American Society of Young Musicians is accepting scholarship applications through March 2 from students who are pursuing careers in music at accredited music programs and schools. Full and partial scholarships for 2001 are available.
