Option Care Inc. Acquires Thousand Oaks Pharmacy

Illinois-based Option Care Inc. has acquired Professional Home Health Service, an independent pharmacy in Thousand Oaks.

Details of the agreement were not disclosed.

Professional Home Health, a home-health and infusion-therapy business, serves the Los Angeles metropolitan area and has annual revenue of nearly $8 million.

“The acquisition of [Professional Home Health] is very exciting, as it marks our entry into the important and growing metropolitan market of Los Angeles and completes our strategy to service Southern California through our network of pharmacies,” said Raj Rai, Option Care president and chief operating officer.”

The company has contracts to provide managed-care organizations and other third-party payers with pharmaceutical and high-cost injectable products that can be used by patients outside their doctors’ offices.

Its subsidiaries include OptionMed and Management by Information.
