Man, 81, Hit by Car Is Critically Hurt
An 81-year-old man was in critical condition Sunday night after being hit by a car in North Hills, according to police.
The man, who was not identified, was struck about 6:30 p.m. by a car as he crossed Nordhoff Street near Gaviota Avenue.
“There were street lights, but it’s dark there. It was raining as well,” said Sgt. Paul Modrell of the LAPD’s Valley Traffic Division.
The driver of the car was not arrested or cited. “There appears to be no negligence on the driver’s part,” Modrell said.
