SOUTHLAND ROUNDUP
Pacific 79, Cal State Fullerton 50--The Titans were thoroughly battered in a Big West Conference opener before 3,033 at the Spanos Center in Stockton.
The Tigers (9-3) are 7-0 at home and have won each by a margin of no less than 19 points. Fullerton (1-10), which has not won in Stockton in 12 years, has lost seven in a row with no end in sight.
“You can’t get beat by 29 points and find a silver lining,” first-year Coach Donny Daniels said. “We are who we are. We’re a work in progress.”
Pacific guard Peter Heizer led all scorers with 19 points and forward Mike Hahn chipped in 12. Forward Ike Harmon had 13 for Fullerton.
