In response to Michael Phillips’ “In Search of a Play of One’s Own” (Dec. 31), in which he expresses a desire for the Mark Taper Forum to support strong, home-grown work, we would like to clarify the details regarding the current Taper season.

The 2000-01 season includes four world premieres: Cornerstone Theater Company’s “For Here or to Go?” by Alison Carey, “Tuva or Bust!” by Peter Parnell, “The Body of Bourne” by John Belluso and the world premiere production (co-produced with Seattle Repertory) of “In Real Life” by Charlayne Woodard.

“Tuva” and “Body of Bourne” have been developed by the Taper, and “In Real Life” by the Taper and Seattle Rep. Carey, Belluso and Woodard are all L.A. playwrights.

Also part of this 34th season at the Music Center are a substantially new version of Warren Leight’s new play “Glimmer, Glimmer and Shine”; August Wilson’s “King Hedley II,” which underwent considerable script changes for our production; Patrick Marber’s “Closer”; and Marc Wolf’s “Another American: Asking and Telling.”
