LivePerson Fires 60:

LivePerson Inc. fired 60 people, or a third of its staff, and will close its San Francisco office as the customer-service software maker cuts costs and seeks a profit. The company will take an undisclosed charge as a result of the moves, which it said should save $5 million this year. Shares of LivePerson fell 19 cents to close at 97 cents on Nasdaq.
