Film Program Profiles Pastor Martyred During WWII

The film “Bonhoeffer: An Agent of Grace” will be presented at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Shepherd of Peace Lutheran Church. The film, which received the Best Film Award at the Monte Carlo TV Festival 2000, is about Lutheran pastor Dietrich Bonhoeffer, who was executed in Germany for his Christian faith during World War II. Dennis Prager, the syndicated radio talk show host heard locally on KRLA (870 AM), will give a talk Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Chabad of Irvine on “Why Ethics Are Not Enough: The Case for Holiness.” The cost is $18. The chabad is at 4980 Barranca Parkway in Irvine. (949) 786-5000.

Pastor Margaret Duttera will give the message “Using Your Gifts.” Holy Communion and a children’s message will take place. An additional service will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the church.
