*** Godhead, “2000 Years of Human Error,” Posthuman/Priority. The first release from Marilyn Manson’s new label comes from a similarly goth-y Washington, D.C., quartet. Filled with menacing electronic grooves in the vein of Orgy and Nine Inch Nails, its debut is a fiendish fusion of industrial aggression and melodic ambience. Pulsating rhythms, stirring vocals (no ranting here) and diverse tunes (even a version of “Eleanor Rigby”) amount to the kind of dark and sultry record M.M. should have put out himself, but didn’t.
