Land Use Conference Scheduled Friday
Developers, builders, city planners and conservationists will gather Friday to hear updates on hotly debated land-use issues such as efforts to curb suburban sprawl, reconciling water-supply and environmental concerns with the push for new development, and finding room for unpopular land uses such as adult businesses, jails, group homes and landfills. The 15th annual Land Use Law and Planning Conference sponsored by UCLA Extension is from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Westin Bonaventure in downtown Los Angeles. For information, call (310) 825-7885.
