Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies have launched separate investigations into the discovery of two bodies found in the Antelope Valley in recent days.
On Sunday about 8:45 a.m., a jogger found the body of a female on Old Harold Road near Desert Oak Drive outside Palmdale. The woman had suffered head injuries, but sheriff’s officials said it is unclear if she was the victim of a homicide.
Deputies are looking for help in identifying the woman, who was white, 5-foot-5, 140 pounds, 35 to 45 years old, with brown hair tinted red. She was wearing a blue short-sleeve button-down shirt and blue jeans.
About 4 p.m. Monday, a passerby found human remains at 50th Street East between avenues E-4 and E-8 near Lancaster. The gender of the body and other details have not been released.
Sheriff’s investigators are treating the case as a homicide.
Anyone with information on either case is asked to call sheriff’s investigators at (323) 890-5500.
