Bahorski Named New City Manager
Council members have high expectations for incoming city manager John Bahorski, who comes to the city next month.
Bahorski, 42, now serves as city manager of Dana Point. He will replace Donald F. McIntyre, who has served as Seal Beach’s interim city manager since shortly after Keith Till resigned in August.
Bahorski was officially named at the City Council meeting Monday and will begin work Feb. 26.
“We are very excited about this opportunity to bring John into Seal Beach,” Councilman Shawn Boyd said. “We think he is a very dynamic leader.”
As city manager in Grover Beach, which is a coastal community in San Luis Obispo County, and in Dana Point for the last three years, Bahorski’s experience may help with water-quality issues in Seal Beach, city officials said.
