It’s Fun, Fun, Fun on Wilson ‘Tribute’

It’s a stellar evening of, yes, good vibrations when many of pop music’s top names gather for “An All-Star Tribute to Brian Wilson” (8 p.m. TNT).
Chazz Palminteri hosts the festive two-hour fete saluting the former Beach Boy at New York’s Radio City Music Hall, where peers and admirers perform many of his timeless tunes.
Calling Wilson’s music “life-affirming art that helps and heals,” David Crosby joins Carly Simon and songwriter Jimmy Webb for a warm rendition of “In My Room.”
Other performers include Paul Simon (“Surfer Girl”); Vince Gill (“The Warmth of the Sun”); Billy Joel (“Don’t Worry Baby”); Elton John (“God Only Knows”); Ann and Nancy Wilson (“Good Vibrations”); and the trio of Carnie Wilson, Chynna Phillips and Wendy Wilson (“You’re So Good to Me”).
Eventually, the guest of honor steps up for an amiable performance of “Heroes & Villains,” then is joined by the ensemble for “Barbara Ann,” “Surfin’ USA” and “Fun, Fun, Fun.”
