The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of Ansel Adams with an exhibition of 100 photographs by the noted artist and naturalist. “Ansel Adams at 100” runs Aug. 4 through Jan. 13, reappraising his work as that of a modern artist. * Sunday marks the opening of the sixth annual San Francisco Silent Film Festival.
