Katharine Graham Unconscious After Fall
Katharine Graham, veteran top executive of the Washington Post, remained unconscious and in critical condition at a hospital in Boise.
“She was unconscious immediately following the fall and has remained unconscious since,” said St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center spokeswoman Amy Miller.
Graham, 84, chairwoman of the executive committee of the Washington Post Co., underwent surgery after she fell and injured her head at a Sun Valley condominium.
Graham assumed control of the Washington Post Co. in 1963. She served as board chairman from 1973 to 1993.
