ANGEL REPORT

Tim Salmon’s struggles continued Tuesday, this time against Class-A pitching.

Salmon, batting .206 with the Angels, struck out three times in a rehabilitation start with Rancho Cucamonga. The right fielder is recovering from a left shoulder strain that has kept him on the disabled list since July 2.

An opposite-field single in the fifth inning kept Salmon from a completely disappointing night.

He also committed a throwing error that led to a run.

Salmon is expected to remain with the Quakes today, though Angel Manager Mike Scioscia said before Tuesday’s game that if all went well the outfielder would rejoin the club Thursday in Tampa Bay.
