Keller Opens Invitational With Freestyle Victory

Kalyn Keller of Sun Devil Aquatics in Chandler, Ariz., won the 800-meter freestyle on the opening day of the Janet Evans Invitational swim meet at USC.
Keller, 16, finished in 8 minutes 44.42 seconds. Hayley Peirsol, 15, of Irvine Novaquatics was second in 8:48.10.
