* Purse: $2.8 million. Winner’s share: $504,000.

* Television: The Golf Channel and Fox Sports Net (Today-Friday, 1-3:30 p.m., 5-7:30 p.m. TGC only) and Channel 2 (Saturday, 1-3 p.m.; Sunday, noon-3 p.m.).

* Last year: Michael Clark II won his first tour title, beating Kirk Triplett on the fourth hole of a Monday playoff.

* Last week: David Duval won the British Open for his first major title, closing with a four-under 67 for a three-stroke victory over Sweden’s Niclas Fasth. . . . Jeff Sluman birdied the second hole of a playoff with Australia’s Paul Gow to win the B.C. Open.

* Notes: The Tiger Woods-Annika Sorenstam versus Duval-Karrie Webb made-for-TV match is Monday at Bighorn in Palm Desert. . . . The tournament moved to Deere Run last year after 25 years at Oakwood Country Club in Coal Valley. D.A. Weibring, the tournament winner in 1979, 1991 and 1995, designed the Deere Run course. . . . The International is next week in Castle Rock, Colo., followed by the Buick Open in Grand Blanc, Mich.

* Purse: $1 million. Winner’s share: $150,000.

* Television: ESPN2 (Friday, 10 a.m.-noon; Saturday, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.; Sunday, 12:30-2:30 p.m.).

* Last year: Dorothy Delasin, 19, won to became the LPGA’s youngest champion in 25 years. She beat Pat Hurst on the second hole of a playoff at Avalon Lakes.

* Last week: Rosie Jones won the Big Apple Classic, closing with a birdie for a one-stroke victory over Laura Diaz.

* Notes: South Korea’s Se Ri Pak won the 1998 tournament. She has three victories this year, including her third Jamie Farr title three weeks ago. . . . Sorenstam and Webb are skipping the tournament. . . . The Women’s British Open is next week at Sunningdale Golf Club in Berkshire, England.

* Television: PAX (Friday, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.) and CNBC (Saturday-Sunday, 3-5 p.m.).

* Last year: Leonard Thompson beat Japan’s Isao Aoki on the second hole of a playoff at Hobbit’s Run.

* Last week: Dana Quigley won the SBC Senior Open, beating Jay Sigel by five strokes in a Monday finish.

* Notes: Bruce Lietzke is making his second senior start. He tied for 24th last week. . . . Bobby Wadkins is making his tour debut. . . .
