Insights on School Sites
Congratulations to the Los Angeles Board of Education powers that be for finally making a decision on the obvious--that the Grand Avenue office site should be a high school (“District Offices to Be a High School,” July 25). But isn’t exchanging that for a 29-story office building like giving your old family car to your least-prosperous child?
Now, when will those in power realize that the upper stories of the old May Co. building at Fairfax Avenue and Wilshire Boulevard would make a fabulous school?
