Man, Youth Held in Fatal Market Robbery
Two suspects in the shooting death of a Gardena convenience store worker have been arrested after informants came forward, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department detectives said Friday.
Shon Sims, 20, turned himself in to police Thursday after learning there was a warrant out for his arrest. The Los Angeles resident was arrested on suspicion of murder in the April 29 shooting of Jarnail Singh at a convenience store, said Sheriff’s Det. David Carver.
Earlier in the week, sheriff’s detectives arrested a 15-year-old Gardena youth, whose name is being withheld, in the killing.
Authorities allege that Sims and the teenager killed Singh, 42, even though he cooperated during the holdup.
