Two people were critically hurt and five suffered minor injuries Sunday night when they were struck by a car in Boyle Heights, a Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman said.
The seven, five of them children and two of them women, were hit shortly after 8 p.m. as they tried to cross in the 2800 block of East 2nd Street, said Brian Humphrey of the Fire Department.
The cause of the accident was not immediately known. The children were 2 to 11 years old. “Some were from the same family,” Humphrey said.
