Mother Suspected of Child Endangerment
A 34-year-old Lancaster woman will be charged with child endangerment after her four children were discovered living alone in a squalid house for two days, authorities said.
The children’s mother, Lisa Ramirez, was last seen Friday and was believed to be in Delano, Calif., said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Det. Paul Kaser.
“The home was filthy and unfit to live in,” Kaser said.
The home, in the 46000 block of 140th Street East, was full of trash, rotten food and insects, a Sheriff’s Department statement said.
The two girls, 6 and 8 years old, and the two boys, 12 and 13, have been handed over to the Department of Children and Family Services and placed in temporary foster care, Kaser said.
