Physiciansite.com Files for Bankruptcy

Physiciansite.com Inc., a Newport Beach Internet company that helped doctors run their practices, has filed for bankruptcy and will liquidate its assets.

The company had less than $10,000 in assets and more than $3 million in debts, said Todd C. Ringstad, a lawyer for the company.

Physiciansite.com’s technology enabled doctors to process insurance claims, order supplies and prescriptions and schedule appointments online. But, Ringstad said, its “software was slow to catch on with doctors.”
