Home Run Extends JetHawks’ Skid, 6-4

Mitch Gregg hit a two-run home run off Rob Shabanski (0-1) in the eighth inning and Visalia handed Lancaster its 12th consecutive loss, 6-4, on Tuesday night at Visalia.

Billy Martin’s second run-scoring double tied the score, 4-4, in the top of the eighth for the JetHawks (27-38).

Lancaster left-hander Doug Slaten (4-6) gave up seven earned runs and six hits in 1 2/3 innings and Visalia scored all its runs in the second inning of an 8-1 victory on Monday at Visalia.

The JetHawks managed only six hits.

The JetHawks managed only five hits, including two doubles by first baseman Ryan Jones, in a 9-0 loss at San Bernardino on Sunday.
