Davis Unveils Online Insurance Application
From Times Staff and Wire Reports
Gov. Gray Davis on Wednesday unveiled an Internet-based application for the California Healthy Families program to boost enrollment in the state’s insurance plan for children of low-income working families.
The Web-based application will be available in libraries and community centers that have Internet access, as well as to people with home computers. Outreach workers who help families fill out applications will be able to do so more effectively.
More than 430,000 children are enrolled in the program statewide.
