Clothing retailer Wet Seal Inc., which hired a new president two days ago, said Thursday that Chief Financial Officer Ann Cadier-Kim has resigned.

The Foothill Ranch company didn’t provide a reason for Cadier-Kim’s decision to leave and didn’t say who will replace her. Cadier-Kim, who joined Wet Seal in 1986, will remain with the company through a transition period, the company said in a news release.

The retailer, which sells clothes for teenage girls and young women, said Wednesday that it hired Christopher Staff as president and chief operating officer from Warnaco Group Inc.’s Authentic Fitness, which makes swimwear and athletic apparel. Staff succeeded Edmond Thomas, who quit in October.
