Channel 4 Picks Golf, Not Lakers

Channel 4 had a decision to make Sunday night--either televise the Laker parade live at 11 a.m. today or pick up NBC’s coverage of the U.S. Open playoff at 11 a.m. The station opted for the golf.

ESPN will show the first two hours of the U.S. Open playoff, beginning at 9 a.m.

Channel 4 will come on the air at 10 a.m. with pre-parade coverage, go to the U.S. Open playoff at 11 a.m. and then show its parade coverage on a delayed basis.
