Two Community Centers Get Surplus County Vans
From Times Staff Reports
Two community centers each received a surplus county passenger van Monday, with help from county Supervisor Todd Spitzer.
“This was a shot in the arm,” said Kathy Seelig, executive director of Friendly Center in Orange. “We’re going to use the van to pick up donated goods like clothing, furniture and beds, and distribute them to low-income families.”
The center received a 1994 GMC van. A 1988 Ford van was delivered to the Gary Center in La Habra.
