Skinhead Rally Flier Gets Police Attention
Anti-gang officers with the Los Angeles Police Department plan to monitor activities Saturday at Sunland Park and Recreation Center after a flier was found on a high school campus in nearby Tujunga advertising a skinhead recruitment rally, authorities said.
Although police do not expect a big turnout for the rally, members of the LAPD’s anti-gang Special Enforcement Unit will be deployed as a precaution, Officer Jay Roberts said.
“I’m guessing it’s going to be an absolute big nothing, but I’d rather be embarrassed and prepared than have a bunch of jerks out there starting fights,” Roberts said.
