Alleged Gang Members to Be Tried for Murder
From Times Staff and Wire Reports
Two suspected gang members must stand trial on charges of robbing and murdering a 20-year-old Pasadena City College student as she drove into the parking garage at her Wilshire District apartment, a judge ruled Thursday.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Stephen Marcus said there is sufficient evidence to try Victor Salazar, 20, and William Hodgson, 16, for the attack on Jee Yeon Nam on Dec. 12.
Police said they believe the attack was committed so they would gain prestige in their gang.
