Man Killed Walking His Bike Across Street

A man who was walking his bicycle across a street early Monday was struck and killed by a car, authorities said.
The man, in his 50s, was crossing Cerritos Avenue when he was hit by a northbound car traveling about 45 mph on Beach Boulevard, Orange County Sheriff’s Lt. John Brimmage said. The pedestrian’s name was not released pending notification of relatives.
Brimmage said the light was green for the driver. No one was cited; the investigation continues.
