Three Glendora residents who shot out windows in about 200 vehicles with a BB gun during Mother’s Day weekend will spend three years in prison for the vandalism spree.
Brian Ashby, 20, Amanda Dakai, 25, and John Chiaramonte, 19, told Glendora police they shot out the windows because they liked the sound it made. On Tuesday, all three pleaded no contest to 50 counts of felony vandalism.
Ashby and Dakai will face an additional eight months in prison for forgery, burglary and grand theft in an unrelated check fraud case, Los Angeles County Deputy Dist. Atty. Andrea Pott said.
The three vandalized vehicles in 10 cities in the Inland Valley and San Gabriel Valley. Many of the cars suffered body damage as well as broken windows, Pott said.
