The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival returns to the Empire Polo Fields in Indio on April 28. Jane’s Addiction (which includes singer Perry Farrell, right), Weezer and Iggy Pop anchor the rock side of the bill, but dance music is the main attraction, with Fatboy Slim, the Chemical Brothers, Paul Oakenfold and the Orb representing the tip of the electronic iceberg. Tickets go on sale Saturday. . . . Tickets also go on sale Saturday for the bill of Brooks & Dunn, Toby Keith, Montgomery Gentry and Keith Urban, May 4 at Glen Helen Blockbuster Pavilion. . . . With its Great Western Forum show sold out, AC/DC has added an April 16 date at the Long Beach Arena. Tickets go on sale Saturday. . . . Tickets will be available today for a show by the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ guitarist John Frusciante on April 19 at the Roxy. . . . Also due at the Roxy are Nikka Costa on March 9 (on sale now), Fear and Agent Orange on April 6, Malevolent Creation on April 30 and Dave Alvin & the Guilty Men on June 8 (the last three on sale Saturday). . . . Saturday is the on-sale date for the Mighty Mighty Bosstones’ three nights at the Whisky, March 30-April 1. . . . Tickets are on sale now for two House of Blues shows: Shane McGowan on April 16 and Luciano on April 22. Also due there are the Psychedelic Furs on April 13-14, with tickets available Saturday. . . . Tickets go on sale Monday for Jackie DeShannon’s March 23-24 engagement at McCabe’s. . . . Cannibal Corpse headlines the Palace on April 24. . . . The Coach House schedule includes El Destroyo (featuring Brian Ritchie of the Violent Femmes) on March 29, Fastball on April 3, Dave Alvin & the Guilty Men on June 28 and Poco on June 30, while the Galaxy Theatre will feature Jerry Cantrell on March 16 and Flogging Molly on March 31. --RICHARD CROMELIN
