Study Harder for Those Drug Tests?

I was shocked to hear about Isaiah Rider’s most recent suspension for failure to comply with the NBA’s drug policy. Yeah, about as shocked as I was to see the sun come up this morning.

Memo to Jerry Buss and Phil Jackson: There is a reason that someone with the talent of an Isaiah Rider has bounced around the league. Do the right thing and get this cancer out of the uniform of my heroes, the uniform that Wilt and Magic wore, the uniform that Jerry and Gail wore, the uniform that Isaiah Rider clearly is not fit to wash.

Everyone in the NBA can play the game. Get 10 guys with character to go with Shaq and Kobe and there’s no other team in the league that could compete with the Lakers.
