Shameful Streets

* Re “Cries Unanswered, Dogs Maul Boy,” March 9: One is left without words concerning the circumstances of young Rodney McAllister’s tragic death. The fact that the boy wasn’t missed by his mother is unfortunate and probably understandable, but not excusable. But how is it that neighbors who heard the child’s suffering did nothing? I am shocked and ashamed.
