Ally Marquand, a former University High standout, scored her first goal for the U.S. women’s national soccer team, but she and her teammates blew a two-goal lead and lost to Norway, 4-3, in the Algarve Cup at Quarteira, Portugal. With the loss, the U.S.--which was without its top players, who are training for the opening of the new professional league next month--finished sixth in the eight-team tournament. Sweden beat Denmark, 3-0, to win the Cup.
