Taking Control of PS2

Share

One of the big selling points of Sony’s PlayStation 2 is its built-in DVD drive, which allows you to watch DVD movies on your TV. It works great but requires you to use a game controller as a remote--which is anything but intuitive.

Since you’re already spending $300 on the console, what’s another $20? Saitek makes a $19.95 remote control that plugs right into PS2’s controller port and features all the standard, familiar buttons.

Game controllers plug into the remote’s receiver so you don’t have to keep swapping devices in and out of the controller port. Our only gripe is that the receiver can be a little finicky, and it sometimes takes a few tries to register a command.
