3 Robbers Tie Up 5 Victims in Home

Three men wearing business suits and carrying guns stormed a La Habra home early Monday, using duct tape to tie up five people who lived there before making off with jewelry and tools, police said.

No one was injured during the 8 a.m. crime in the 100 block of Lydia Street, Sgt. David Cuen said.

The trio of robbers knocked on the front door and asked for someone who apparently didn’t live at the home, Cuen said. The men left when they were told that they had the wrong house. But moments later, they returned--armed with handguns this time--and forced their way into the house, police said.

The robbers ransacked the house and fled with jewelry and other possessions, Cuen said. The men were described as in their 30s and last seen driving a blue American-made sedan.
