The Lakers: a Mind-Altering Experience

I am always amazed at all of the so-called Laker faithful and local sportswriters and how they change so quickly. Am I mistaken or was it only weeks ago that you guys wanted to trade Kobe and run Phil out of town and criticized Shaq to no end, and now all of a sudden they win three games from a franchise that is in disarray, and they get more love than they can handle.
I think Webster defines this as hypocritical, or is it just Hollywood?

Dear Kobe,
It’s nice to see you and Shaq getting along these days, but we (all of L.A.) realize that at a moment’s notice, when you’re not feeling like you’re getting the credit you deserve, you could be at ground zero and feuding like my two kids over Thomas the Train. So, I would like to help you avoid this.
Get a big picture of Vince Carter and post it in your locker. Then when you start feeling left out, look down at your championship ring(s), look at Vince and realize that’s what you will become--a great talent with all the free time in the world late in the playoffs.

Without Magic Johnson, Pat Riley is to April/May what Barry Bonds is to October.

Now that Dallas has eliminated Utah in the first round of the NBA playoffs, Maverick owner Mark Cuban is going to be impossible to live with. Come to think of it, he already is.
