Disney 3rd-Park Request Goes to Planning Group

The Anaheim Planning Commission will meet today to consider the Walt Disney Co.’s request to begin the environmental review process for a third theme park.
City and Disney officials described the meeting as a step in a long process.
Disney officials have not revealed specific plans for the anticipated third theme park.
Disneyland resort spokesman Ray Gomez said the 92-acre project might include more hotels, a water park and a retail and dining center.
The meeting will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at the Anaheim City Council chamber.
