Jackson Admits Seeking Confidentiality Pact
The Rev. Jesse Jackson acknowledged that he tried to get the mother of his out-of-wedlock daughter to sign a confidentiality agreement, saying it was to protect the toddler.
Jackson commented a day after the woman, Karin Stanford, his former aide, said she rejected a request by Jackson’s lawyers to sign the agreement. She said no money was offered as an enticement.
Stanford, 39, has sued Jackson seeking to formalize a child-support agreement. Jackson has been sending $3,000 a month to support his daughter, who turns 2 this month.
