Paraclete 1, Village Christian 0--Tiffany Forrest’s fourth-inning single gave the Spirits their 21st consecutive Alpha League title at Jane Reynolds Park in Lancaster.

Forrest’s hit scored Jackie Kolesar from third.

With one game to play, Paraclete (20-3, 5-1) and Village Christian (19-4, 5-1) likely will finish as co-champions. However, Village Christian would enter the Southern Section Division V playoffs as the league’s No. 1 team, based on a a coin flip Tuesday.

Two weeks ago, Sara Gonzales lost to Village Christian freshman Lauren Nydam in a 18-inning, 1-0 game. Gonzales (18-2) outperformed Nydam (14-3) this time, pitching a one-hitter with four strikeouts.
